As you can see from the last post, last night was just one real artsy night. Took my friend with me from the PCA to Space Gallery downtown. They were having the opening reception for Overlapping Memories. Strange that I knew two of the artists in it. One is my professor at Pitt, Delanie Jenkins. The other is my flamenco dance teacher, Carolina Loyola Garcia. I knew she had done a number of documentaries but had no idea she had more digital media type work. She was actually the guest curator for the show, which was even more exciting.
My photos of these pieces do not do them any justice. Each one had mostly blue sky in the frame with the exception of one little detail. Who doesn’t love some well-taken minimalist photography?
